I enjoy working with seed beads and wanted to explore the medium more. “Light” is made to be touched it can move giving a different experience for art. When things fell heavy you can still touch the light.

There is widespread anger and sadness in First Nations communities. Sisters, wives, mothers, and daughters are gone from their families without clear. For Native Americans, this adds one more layer of trauma upon existing wounds that cannot heal. Communities are pleading for justice. This work was done to bring awareness to this issue and show a standing in solidarity.

I love the textures of autumn and had an idea (dream) of using a soft medium such as felt to capture that feeling. I wanted to experiment with depth and play with colors creating an abstract (Felt-stract) . A landscape that would capture that warm and cozy fondness I have for the season.
