I am a photographer who draws inspiration from my love of nature and time spent in the landscapes of New England while growing up. The process of making art has always been a way for her to recover from life’s adversities. Taking a photograph is only the beginning of my artistic process. Through the use of digital photographs, traditional digital and mobile photo editing, and pigmented prints, I communicate my vision of a specific time and place for viewers to explore and enjoy.
Through the use of my camera, I observe the changing quality of light and its effect on color in the moment. Focusing mainly on landscapes, layers of textures and tones are applied in postproduction to add aesthetics, subjectivity, and fluidness to my work. It is my experience that the adventure of making art, as well as viewing and appreciating it, allows time for reflection that can be beneficial to both the artist and the observer.
