Dylan Macleod

drawing

My name is Dylan MacLeod. I started selling portraits when I was 18. I have been drawing for fun ever since I can remember. Nowadays, my art is inspired by hyperrealist art, minimalism, black and white photography, graffiti, statues, lights, and music. I do not work in color. Black and white is the only way for me to get my shapes to acheive the type of depth that I am looking for. Plus, it is nice and depressing. Gradients, contrast, depth, and texture are the main focuses. I use paper, graphite, black ink, gray ink, white gel pens, blenders, erasers and occasionally charcoal.
