Bayda Asbridge

Bayda Asbridge is an artist who is interested in many genres of art, specifically Asian & Middle Eastern art.  Bayda paints in the traditional Asian style as well having liberties in expressing her artistic vision in other media, such as Japanese weaving (Saori), mixed media, photography, sculpture and paper collage.

Bayda works for the Worcester Art Museum as a youth and adult teacher. Her work extends to outreach programs with local schools, libraries and councils. She has displayed some of her artwork in a number of local museums, galleries and exhibitions, earning her some awards and honorable mention. In 2011, she was awarded the Frances Kinnicut Scholarship where she traveled to England to study mixed media with Lydia Bauman, a well-known British artist.
