Vase, circa 1910
green glaze
11.5″ x 9″ (diameter)
FAM.1082
This vase with green glaze was most likely created around 1910. The edged rings reveal a bronze color encircling the vase. A gritty blackness coats primarily the central section of the vase creating a depth to the predominant green color. The multiple subtle tones of color result in a more dynamic surface, allowing the vase to become a more interesting centerpiece. The vase with green glaze is a FAM mystery, and therefore we have little information about its creation and how it ended up in our collection.
