Open Auditions for the Master Singers of Worcester

On Tuesday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 21, at the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury, The Master Singers of Worcester invites singers to attend the open rehearsals for the Boars Head Festival, which will be held on Dec.11. All voice parts are being sought, especially basses and tenors. Singers interested in participating in this years Renaissance costumed festival, may audition at the end of the rehearsal or schedule an audition in September by phoning 508-842-1349 or emailing info@mswma.org. Well known for its annual Boars Head production, MSW currently includes about 50 members drawn from Worcester and surrounding communities. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings starting at 7:15 at the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury.

SILVER BELLS (Its Christmas Time in the City)
The hustle and bustle of Christmas in New York City comes to the Theatre at the Mount stage in this traditional-meets-untraditional Christmas Spectacular! The elegance and excitement of Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, and St. Patricks Cathedral are filled with holiday music, love and laughter for the entire familyand a special visit from the big guy in the red suit himself!

CAST REQUIREMENTS  12  18 children (grades 3 through 8); large teen and adult chorus, dancers and soloists (grades 9 through adult)

When? Childrens auditions  Sunday, September 19 at 2:00PM sharp; Teen and Adult auditions  Sunday, September 19 at 6PM sharp and Monday, September 20 at 7:00PM sharp*

*Punctuality will be noted and appreciated

Performance Dates: November 26, 27, December 3, 4 at 8:00pm; November 28 and December 5 at 2:00pm

Tentative Rehearsal Schedule: Children  Sundays from 2:00PM to 5:00PM (additional rehearsals closer to production); Teen/adult rehearsals  Sundays from 6:00PM to 9:00PM, Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00PM to 10:00PM
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Everyone should prepare a short singing selection (accompanist provided). Dancers will be taught a short dance combination (please wear appropriate clothing and footwear)

Open Call for the Blackstone Valley Community Chorus Christmas Season

Douglas Municipal Center, Resource Room, 29 Depot Street, Douglas, MA - There is a $30 membership fee to cover minimal concert expenses and all sheet music.
The Blackstone Valley Community Chorus, under the direction of Diane Pollard of Uxbridge, has been bringing great choral music to the Blackstone Valley since 2004. Members are of varying ages and musical abilities, brought together with a shared love of music. Rehearsals will be Sundays, beginning October 17th, from 6:30 until 8:30pm at the Douglas Municipal Center Resource Room. Our concert is scheduled for Sunday December 12, 2010.
