Travel South to I-495. Take I-495 South to I-290 West.

Take I-290 to Exit 16 (Central St.). From 290E, turn left onto Central Street. From 290W, turn right. At Main Street, turn left. ARTSWorcester is located on the right at 660 Main Street, at the corner Chandler Street.
Parking Options
27 Austin Street Parking Garage
This lot is open 24 hours/day daily, charging $1/hr. until their upcoming transition to monthly parking only. From Main Street, take a right onto Chandler Street and another right onto Murray Street. The garage entrance will be on the left.
Federal Plaza Parking Garage
570 Main St. - This lot is open 6:30am-midnight Mon-Sat and 9:30am-midnight Sun., charging $1/hr.
Worcester Plaza Garage
40 Pleasant St. - This lot is open Mon-Sat 6:30am-11pm, charging $1/hr. Heading south on Main Street, take a right onto Pleasant Street. The garage entrance will be on the left.
Purpose
It is the purpose of ARTSWorcester to:
- foster cooperative, collaborative and interdisciplinary ideas and programs among artists, cultural organizations, and the community,
- provide aid and advice to visual, performing, and literary artists in the advancement of their careers,
- serve as a vehicle for the exchange of views and information related to visual, performing and literary artists,
- advocate for cultural organizations and individual artists at local, state and federal levels, and
- explore and facilitate programs and services of mutual benefit to the cultural, business, educational, and municipal sectors of the community.
History
Established in 1979, ARTSWorcester (AW) is a private, non-profit members’ organization whose purpose is to foster collaborative programs among artists and cultural organizations in the Greater Worcester area by providing opportunities and services for visual, performing, and literary artist members. ARTSWorcester advocates for programs of mutual benefit to the cultural, business, educational, and municipal sectors of the community. These programs include: open studio tours; literary, performing and visual arts lectures, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and events; collaborative arts festivals; and educational enrichment. ARTSWorcester’s Aurora Gallery is the only professionally managed non-profit membership gallery in Central Massachusetts in which artists can exhibit new work, perform the literary word, as well as present innovative musical performances.
