Timothy Johnson

photography

A photographer and art museum exhibit installer living in Worcester, Massachusetts, Tim is originally from Muskegon, Michigan. He received a BA in Art History in 1985 and followed his interest in art into the museum field, where he has worked ever since. He has held museum positions in Michigan, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Largely self-taught as a photographer, he finds inspiration for his work in the natural world, as well as the wide variety of art he sees while working on museum exhibitions. Working primarily in color and with landscape as a theme, he creates single images that explore ideas of design in nature and, in an on-going series, combines the elements of landscape to create unusual visual scenarios.
